31 Aug 2015

Crowdfunded company that pioneered the Bluetooth tracker market, grows by 2,541% and ranks #14 among Top Consumer Products and Services

Santa Barbara, Calif., Aug. 31, 2015 – TrackR, pioneer of the Bluetooth tracker space, has been named to the 2015 Inc. Magazine 500 Fastest Growing Companies list. This honor places TrackR, with roots in crowdfunding, among an elite group of companies that demonstrate consistently high growth and strong entrepreneurial spirit. Following the launch of Wallet, sticker and bravo tracking devices via crowdfunding platforms, TrackR makes its debut on the list with 2,541% growth and a total revenue of $2.7 million in 2014, and is #14 in the Top Consumer Products & Services category.

TrackR is a Santa Barbara, California-based startup company founded in 2009 by Bluetooth tracker innovators Chris Herbert and Christian Smith, whose mission is to completely automate the process of keeping track of items. The team developed the TrackR Wallet in 2010 and raised more than $1 million on Indiegogo to help launch their latest tracking device, TrackR bravo, in 2014.

“The success of the Indiegogo campaign was instrumental in learning what aspects of our product customers enjoyed and solidified our vision of creating a simple way for people to know where all their belongings are,” says Chris Herbert, TrackR CEO & Founder.

TrackR bravo ($29.99), the latest product in the line of trackers, is the world’s thinnest tracking device offering a solution to consumers’ lost or stolen items. Bravo takes stock of users’ belongings – keys, pets, bikes, purses, wallets, laptops, diaper bags, suitcases, tablets, golf bags and anything they want to locate in a hurry. TrackR uses a Bluetooth distance indicator to locate missing items within 30 feet and can ring bravo from the app using the manual alarm. Users can also ring their phone, even if it’s on silent, directly from their TrackR bravo to find phones hidden in between seat cushions. TrackR finds items out of Bluetooth range by using the TrackR Crowd GPS database made up of thousands of TrackR users.

“Building a startup company comes with its hurdles and being on the INC 500 list is a true testament to the resilience, determination and passion of the TrackR team.  Christian and I are honored to work with such dedicated and passionate individuals,” says Herbert.

TrackR has grown their team to 15 people, and three available products: bravo ($29.99), sticker ($24.95) and Wallet ($29.95), which are available online at and Target retail stores. For the full list of Inc. 5000 companies, visit
