Montclair, N.J. – Sept. 5, 2012 – Ten One Design, creator of the first capacitive touch screen stylus, is proud to reveal the full details and official name for its previously top secret Blue Tiger Project – the world’s first pressure-sensitive Bluetooth 4.0 stylus for new iPad. Available for pre-order starting Oct.1, just in time for Ten One Design’s 5-year anniversary, Pogo Connect expands on the benefits of Bluetooth 4.0, pairing directly and effortlessly with the iPad to offer full pressure sensitivity, palm rejection capabilities and more.

The first-of-its-kind Pogo Connect sports a wild new patent pending technology the company calls a Crescendo Sensor, making the tip highly responsive to pressure and recognizing even the slightest touch. With zero grams of activation force, Crescendo Sensor works at all angles and requires absolutely no calibration, providing hundreds of levels of pressure. Plus, the solid state design means no moving parts, making the stylus incredibly reliable.

By capturing the nuances of any drawing, novice and professional artists alike can easily create detailed, multifaceted digital paintings in a matter of minutes. By applying more or less pressure, users can control line width and opacity of a drawn line. Plus, its palm rejection feature keeps drawings clear of unnecessary and unwanted marks, smudges, blots and more from hands resting on the screen during drawing sessions.

The intelligent stylus also features a special LED light that app developers can utilize for various applications. For instance, the LED light can change colors to indicate at a glance the color with which the user is sketching and it can also notify users when they are close to end of life when playing a gaming app. Most simply, the LED light also lets the user know when the device has been successfully paired with iPad.

Ten One Design is pleased to announce Pogo Connect is supported by 12 compatible apps with many more to come. These six are live now and available for download:

Brushes: features an advanced color picker, several realistic brushes, layers, extreme zooming, and a simple yet deep interface for creating original artwork on mobile devices.

Zen Brush: gives users the feeling of using an ink brush to write or paint, performing fluent strokes while not compromising on the fascinating texture of a real ink brush.

PDFpen for iPad: allows users to sign a contract, make corrections, fill out an application, make comments on a presentation and much more.

Procreate: the only studio-grade sketchbook for iPad® packed with more than 45 professional brushes, an incredible OpenGL painting engine and desktop quality features.

FlipBook HD: the most powerful animation app available for iOS brings doodles to life. Users can email their movies to friends or share them via flipbook.tv for the world to see.

Sketch Club: combines standard digital painting and drawing tools, vector art, old school pixel art, and new procedural tools. Interactive online network allows artists to share their creations with others.

More compatible apps coming soon include: GoodNotes, Noteshelf, Colors!, Paper , SketchBook Pro and NotePad Pro. For a full list of apps and how Pogo Connect enhances each one, visit www.tenonedesign.com/connect.

Pogo Connect also comes with a built-in radio transmitter so users can easily find a lost pen by determining their location in relation to stylus – a modern day game of hot and cold! The stylus transmits a signal that easily allows users to track down its location, making this the first pen that’s nearly impossible to lose. Simply use an iPhone or iPad to display the estimated distance to the pen, which is displayed intuitively in a radar-style view.

The smart pen is powered by one AAA battery, and with the help of the energy-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 technology, will last for months of continuous drawing.

Pogo Connect can be pre-ordered starting Oct. 1, 2012 for $79.95. The first 2,000 buyers will receive a special edition version with a laser-engraved tiger graphic reminiscent of the product’s previous name, Blue Tiger.
