MARSHALL HEADPHONES TOGETHER WITH MARSHALL AMPLIFICATION PROUDLY PRESENT THE LAUNCH OF MARSHALL CLOTHING 2015. A COLLECTION INFLUENCED BY THE PAST, COMBINING MODERN DAY MATERIALS AND CUTS TO BE EFFORTLESSLY WORN ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. AVAILABLE AT MARSHALLHEADPHONES.COM ON MARCH 2ND 2015.
The Marshall story began in a small drum shop in the 60s and quickly became a ubiquitous stage presence that has enraptured music fans around the world ever since. When creating wearable clothes, inspiration is found in the unruly band-merch of iconic rock legends. The graphics and prints could be distilled memories of independent record covers. Drawing on that iconic history, Marshall Clothing is influenced by the past, but combines modern day materials and cuts to be effortlessly worn all day, every day.
The Marshall Clothing collection ranges from blank generation standard t-shirts, baseball tee’s, tank tops, zip hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts and totes in 100% cotton qualities, with sizing from XS-XL. Price ranges from $20 – $80.
Marshall has become known for supplying sound to icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Dinosaur Jr. When designing the ready-to-wear Marshall collection, it felt natural to team up with other musicians and creatives. “We want to learn about the style, stories and obsessions of Marshall’s friends and family”, says Konrad Bergström, President & Co-founder at Marshall Headphones, highlighting the uniqueness of each hand drawn print in the collection.
Partnering up with Caleb Owen Everitt (LAND), Marcello Crescenzi (Rise Above) and Sean Burke (Gnarlie Company) the collection features styles like Bluesbreaker, Fly By Night 1962 and Lip Service, as well as classic prints such as 50 Years of Loud and Manufactures of Marshall Amplification Trademark.
Besides music, rock is also about your favorite band t-shirt, the one in washed-out black that’s almost worn to pieces.
About Marshall Headphones:
Marshall is a true rock legend. That uniquely clear and expressive sound combined with a mythical stage presence has enraptured music fans around the world for five decades. We’re celebrating the brand’s rich heritage with commemorative products that live and breathe Marshall.
The legacy begins in a small drum shop in Hanwell in the 1960s, where Jim Marshall sought to give a bunch of then-local guitarists the sound they wanted – a sound that was harder, crunchier and richer. The result was the JTM45, an amp that reverberated with a sound that was much heavier than anything ever heard before. And in a twist of rock and roll fate – those guitarists, much like the Marshall name, would go on to revolutionize music forever.
